Case 10 Answer

Answer: Jones Fracture + “Pseudo Jones” fracture

Jones fx = extraarticular fracture of the proximal 5th metatarsal (usually 1-2cm distal to the medial articular surface)

“Pseudo” Jones (probably better called “avulsion” fracture) = INTRAarticular fx that appears to avulse the proximal-lateral corner (where the peroneus brevis inserts).  Also common called a “dancer’s fracture”
