Not a lot of answers on this one.
Answer: Patent foramen ovale closure device.
I haven’t seen many (especially in an older patient), but in checking around, neither had several of the residents so I figured I’d throw this in for some learning.
This is one of several percutaneous transcatheter occlusion devices, primarily used for closing PFOs (often in patients with history of stroke or TIA with right to left shunting). One version is pictured below
